Oooh - just watched some mini moto on youtube - that looks fun! How old do children have to be to do it? Our nearly-four-year-old just had his first rid on a full-size horse in the hills above Buda, and was quite upset that we wouldn't let it go a...

What's the event? I remember going to a four-in-hand championship in Debrecen in (I think) 1978, and hearing Prince Philip swearing roundly at his horses when they got a bit restless waiting to enter the arena.

It is a bit quiet, but there are people around. I think we haven't quite reached critical mass... I started off a couple of discussions but they seemed to die quietly of loneliness - maybe someone roaring around on a motorbike might wake people up...

He is now back in Hungary,,, he lives midway between Budapest and Lake Balato in a village of some 6,000 residents (I have the name written down and buried in a mountain of papers!). He was working over here for a year, but I did not meet him and his co-worker until April 2009. We managed to communicate because I speak marvelous pigeon english, and by using a lot of sign language, and a rather inaccurate interenet translator service! !!!

settling in

We've changed the name of this community from "British-Hungarian Fellowship" to "British-Hungarian Network", with a link back to the smart new official site of the British-Hungarian Fellowship. We are operated by the BHF, but this makes it simpler to focus on our mission of providing a space where all sorts of British-Hungarian individuals and groups can meet up.

At Gilbert Pant's suggestion I've just created a… Continue
