We've changed the name of this community from "British-Hungarian Fellowship" to "British-Hungarian Network", with a link back to the smart new official site of the British-Hungarian Fellowship. We are operated by the BHF, but this makes it simpler to focus on our mission of providing a space where all sorts of British-Hungarian individuals and groups can meet up.

At Gilbert Pant's suggestion I've just created a Hungarian Roots group in this site for members of the Hungarian Roots Club, which I hope will be the first of many. A group of this kind has three useful features - its own page, on which is a forum, and the ability for the group's administrators to communicate with all members.

We haven't yet said anything about privacy policy for the British-Hungarian Network. Maybe this is a good moment.

This site is hosted by Ning.com, who provide all the social network features like registration, forums, personal pages and blogs. We intend to operate the Ning privacy policy (or its successors) unless someone can show
us that something is wrong with it. But please note that Ning provides the administrators with the ability to communicate with a site's members, and we hope that you, our members, will not object to a once-monthly email highlighting current issues and upcoming events. I also hope that the administrators of groups such Hungarian Roots will feel free to contribute a line or two that they'd like to share with the wider community.
